Antelope Island is unlike any other photography location in Utah. The island sits in the Great Salt Lake with big sky, open prairie, and sweeping lake views in every direction. The salt flats on the east shore create stunning reflections near golden hour.
The landscape is raw and dramatic — not manicured. It works especially well for couples sessions, editorial work, and anyone who wants images that feel distinctly Western and expansive.
Wildlife is common — bison, pronghorn, and shorebirds are frequently visible. This adds unexpected life to sessions.
State park day-use fee applies. Golden hour is the best time — the light off the lake is extraordinary. Allow 30 minutes drive from SLC.
