The Utah State Capitol building sits on Capitol Hill above downtown Salt Lake City, offering sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley and the Wasatch Range to the east.
The classical architecture — marble columns, grand staircases, wide grounds — photographs beautifully in all lighting conditions. The building's north and south faces catch excellent afternoon light. Indoor rotunda available in inclement weather.
Public grounds, no permit typically required. Parking in adjacent Capitol parking complex.
